Early morning transfer from hotel to Wongwienyai train station to take a one-hour journey by local train to Mahachai market. This riverside port, just a few kilometres from the Gulf of Thailand, bustles with activity, handling a huge variety of fresh fish and seafood. Cross the river for another one-hour train ride through paddy field and villages to Mae Klong. After visiting the market take a boat ride along Mae Klong River to visit the local temples and community and learn about their way of life and its ties to the river. Arrive the village of floating market and meet the host of the home stay. Enjoy an evening walk around the village. Spend the night with a local village family and help to prepare dinner.
Floating Market / Bangkok
An opportunity to give food to local monks who make their morning alms round by boat. Time for breakfast and take a morning boat ride on the Mae Klong River to the local vegetable gardens, fruit orchards, and a floating market to see the local people trading and exchanging goods. Return to Bangkok by public air-conditioned bus. Arrive at the bus station and termination of the tour.
