Chiang Mai / home stay
Depart Chiang Mai town in the morning passing the rural countryside to Doi Saket district. En route visit a local market seeing traders sale their goods, foods, vegetables and flowers. Arrive at a local village with a warm welcome from the villagers. Meet the family you will be staying with. After lunch enjoy a village walk or cycle along the local roads to explore the villager’s handicraft production, farms, plantations, school and temple. Afterwards join the family for preparing a traditional northern Thai dinner using the fresh vegetables and herbs grown around the houses.
After dinner in a friendly atmosphere with the host, it is time to gathering for a chat and exchange the cultural thoughts such as learn how to play the Northern classical music or dancing.

After a Thai-style breakfast more time to join the local people in their day-to-day activities, join in their farm plantations or making merit at the temple. After an enjoyable picnic lunch transfer to Chiang Mai.

Remarks

For any ad-hoc group, an option of local evening performance can be arranged as the highlight of the evening - the get-together with the villagers who will perform local dances accompanied by music played on traditional instruments.
