 Board our comfortable converted rice barge "Thanatharee" at approximately 13:30 and cruise upriver to a remote branch of the Chao Phraya River, passing through rich agricultural areas dotted with small towns and villages where life moves at a slower and more gentle pace. With bicycles on board frequent stops are made along the way to explore the countryside and observe the day-to-day life and culture of the rural Thai people. There will be opportunities to see the traditional handicrafts still produced in these areas and meet with the local people, in a world far removed from the usual tourist haunts. Meals will be served on board. Coffee, tea and seasonal fruits are available at all times. Moor at a small village in the evening and tie up for the night.
An opportunity to give food to the monks on their morning alms round. Afterwards there will be time for a leisurely breakfast and a morning bicycle ride to explore local surroundings. Then cruise along this peaceful tributary to meet the main Chao Phraya River with possibilities of more stops along the way if time permits. Disembark at about 12:30 and prepare to depart for the next destination.

Remarks
A transfer between Bangkok and Ayudhaya and/or v.v. with a visit to the ruins of Ayudhaya can be arranged for a supplementary charge.
The barge piers are outside Ayudhaya town. Please refer to the price sheet for transfer cost, if needed.
Itinerary of the barge portion is only a guideline and is subject to change without prior notice due to tide and local conditions, but the same concept is well maintained.

- The barge provides air-conditioned multi-share accommodation for a maximum of 12 persons, the bedroom area being divided into two sections by a curtain. One common bathroom and one toilet are located on the main deck, a second toilet is on the upper deck.
